"Save The Day": The Story Behind the Song... The Skinny: After waiting and praying for so many years, the Lord finally came through for me, just as He promised He would. My beautiful, amazing wife Miranda and I were married on April 28th, 2018! HUGE thanks to my friends and family who were there, for making the day a dream come true.
True to our lives and relationship, we had the biggest nerd wedding in history, featuring prelude and bridal entry music from Final Fantasy 7 (TIfa's Theme) and Superman: The Movie (Lois Lane's Theme), our guest being "sorted" into a Hogwarts house in the guest book, a multi-layered super hero cake, and Miranda and I walking out after being pronounced Man and Wife to the Throne Room fanfare from "A New Hope."
But the crowning moment might have been when, in lieu of a first dance, she and I performed the song I wrote for our wedding. It's called "Save The Day," and it's a joyful celebration of our relationship, the grace of God that brought us together, and all the geeky things we love. The chorus goes like this:
"I may not be perfect. Truth is, I've never tried. But I know Jesus loves me, because you're here by my side. I'm no super hero, but as long as I'm alive I promise I'll be here for you We'll save the day together, you and I."
We had the video crew take the footage from the entire day's event and turn it into the music video for the song. I'm very proud to present my song "Save The Day."
